About MagnumForce

What it is

MagnumForce is a simulation engine, an interactive sandbox workbench and a set of tools for rendering the results. The core is a C++23 static library with no third-party dependencies except a vendored, pinned, correctly-rounded math library. Results are deterministic: no unseeded random numbers, no timestamps in outputs, strict floating-point flags, and reference outputs ("goldens") that are compared byte for byte.

Physics models are not written from memory. Each constant, formula and algorithm has an addressed source (a book page or a dataset record), a stated reason and a test. Sources and parameters live in a Lua oracle; the C++ code only computes.

What it is not

Licence

The repository carries an MIT licence file ("Copyright (c) 2026 Pugnator"), which covers the project's own source code. Whether that licence also applies to documentation, rendered media and this website's text has not yet been decided by the author; until it is, treat those as all rights reserved and ask before reusing them. Third-party data keeps its own licence; see credits.

Status

The project is under active development and has no stable public release yet. Every post states what was verified and on which platform, and lists what is not done.
